1 Mar 2013

Norwegian-backed cellco Uninor, which will soon relaunch in the Indian wireless market as Telewings Communications, has selected French-US vendor Alcatel-Lucent to provide managed services in the Gujarat, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh circles. Alca-Lu will focus on improving customer experience management and operational efficiency, deploying network performance tools to boost the carrier’s networks. Uninor’s COO Yogesh Malik commented: ‘We … have been continuously challenging traditional operating models since launch of our services, especially the boundaries between our partners. We believe that thinking beyond traditional managed services, working together in a transformational partnership set-up will bring continuous innovation and deliver better services to our end-consumers.’
