SFR selects Cisco Systems for mobile internet network

Cisco Systems has announced that SFR, a leading mobile provider in France, has selected it to expand and enhance its mobile internet network in order to accelerate the deployment of advanced 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) services in the country. Under the contract, Cisco will supply its next generation internet architecture, including ‘elastic packet’ core, mobile backhaul, and service provider Wi-Fi solutions, to enable SFR to deploy a wide range of radio networks (2G/3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi) services.
