Du extends data centre agreement with Injazat

26 Feb 2013

United Arab Emirates telecoms operator Du has extended its managed collocation services contract with Injazat Data Systems for a further three years. Under the terms of the renewed agreement, Injazat’s Abu Dhabi-based Tier IV Data Centre will continue to support managed collocation services for Du’s mission critical systems. ‘By extending our alliance with Injazat, we will continue to raise the bar for our telecom service levels in the UAE while ensuring business continuity,’ commented Farid Faraidooni, Du’s chief commercial officer, adding: ‘It re-affirms our commitment to providing world-class 24/7 services to our nearly six million individual customers and over 50,000 businesses, eliminating service downtime.’ Established in 2006, Du offers mobile and fixed telephony, broadband connectivity and IPTV services to individuals, homes and businesses. It also provides carrier services for businesses and satellite up/downlink services for TV broadcasters. Du competes with the UAE’s incumbent telecoms operator, Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat).
