26 Feb 2013

The technology will allow the cellco to provide GSM voice services to users on its 4G Time Division Long Term Evolution (TD-LTE) network, transferring customers to Airtel’s 2G network to make and receive calls. Senior Airtel official Jagbir Singh said: ‘The solution will enable our 4G customers to enjoy high-quality voice services on GSM network and ultra-fast data services on TD-LTE platform – thereby allowing them to have a unified experience on a 4G handset.’
