CAT Telecom has delayed the shutdown of its CDMA network to 26 April from the previously announced deadline of end-March. The state-run firm cited the need to allow more time for its campaign to migrate the remaining CDMA users to W-CDMA/HSPA-based services on the network shared with private sector operator True Corp; it is expected that the latter’s legacy ‘Hutch’ CDMA network will cease operating on the same date as the ‘CAT CDMA’ service.
