Claro extends HSPA+ footprint to 54% of Brazil’s population in 2012

Telecom Americas (Claro), the Brazilian mobile subsidiary of Mexico’s America Movil (AM), has reported that its HSPA+ network covered 54% of the population (or 134 million people) by the end of 2012, thanks to deployments that saw the number of municipalities served increase to 1,150. Claro offers 3.5G services under the banner 3G Max.
