Orange to relaunch Livebox VoIP

14 Jan 2013

Orange Tunisia has been given permission to re-launch its voice-over-internet protocol (VoIP) services, according to local media reports. VoIP services were fully liberalised in March 2011, though in June that year the National Telecommunications Commission (INT) ordered Orange to withdraw its VoIP service ‘Livebox’ on the basis that it did not have permission to route telephony traffic over the network of another telco – Tunisie Telecom. Orange announced earlier this week that Livebox would be available to its DSL customers from 15 January, offering lower call rates to landlines and mobiles.
