Vectra hit with consumer rights fine

Polish cableco Vectra has been issued a PLN350,000 (USD112,748) fine by watchdog the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) in connection with a series of consumer complaints. A UKE investigation showed that the operator did not fulfil its disclosure obligations to end-users, failing to specify certain details in contracts such as the type of service provided, the rules regarding dealing with complaints, payment deadlines and how to obtain information on the cost of services.
