4 Dec 2012

Gulfsat Madagascar, which offers commercial services under the Blueline banner on this island nation, has reportedly inked a long-term capacity deal with Jersey-based global satellite services provider O3b Networks. Under the terms of the deal O3b will provide satellite-delivered broadband and telephony services across Madagascar, with the vendor set to utilise its Medium Earth Orbit satellite fleet.

‘Together with O3b Networks, Gulfsat is well positioned to deliver a wide range of broadband, voice and data transmission services with the speed and cost effectiveness of fibre and the high availability and resilience of satellite,’ said Damien de Lamberterie, Gulfsat’s general manager, of the agreement.
