JCI complains over high DoCoMo fees

4 Dec 2012

The Japanese mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Japan Communications Inc (JCI), which operates under the ‘b-mobile’ banner, has filed a complaint with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) over the fees charged by its wholesale provider NTT DoCoMo for access to data services. JCI is complaining that DoCoMo is charging up to three times the fees that other operators are asking. DoCoMo has responded by claiming that its fees are calculated within guidelines set down by the MIC.
