FastWeb inks five-year Huawei deal for ‘ultra-fast’ broadband

Italian broadband operator FastWeb and Chinese telecoms vendor Huawei Technologies have reportedly signed a deal to jointly develop ‘ultra-fast internet technologies’, Reuters reports. The five-year deal will allow FastWeb to offer downlink broadband speeds beyond 100Mbps, and going forward FastWeb expects to be able to boost connectivity by up to ten times, using the same infrastructure.
