15 Nov 2012

Verizon Wireless has reportedly sold a portion of its lower 700MHz ‘B-block’ spectrum to Nortex Communications, a small operator based in Muenster, Texas. The deal is the first confirmed sale by Verizon of its lower 700MHz A or B Block licences. Fierce Wireless reports that Nortex will acquire the so-called Texas RSA 6-Jack 700MHz Lower B-block concession, which covers a four-county area north-west of Dallas. The sale is subject to approval by the industry watchdog, Federal Communications Commission (FCC); terms of the deal were not disclosed.
