Telekom Austria has reported group revenues of EUR1.093 billion (USD1.388 billion) for the three months ended 30 September 2012, down 1.6% year-on-year. The company blames the slump on pricing and regulatory pressures faced by its mobile businesses in Austria and Bulgaria. EBITDA for the July-September period dropped 0.6% on an annualised basis, to EUR410.4 million, despite ‘comparable growth’ in Croatia and Telekom’s ‘Additional Markets’ (Serbia, Slovenia, Macedonia). The company’s operating income increased 6.5%, to EUR177.0 million, although net income decreased 22.5% to EUR99.2 million for the three-month period under review. Meanwhile, CAPEX dropped 10.9% y-o-y to EUR158.4 million.
