Slovak Telekom’s 9M EBITDA falls 12.8% on 8.1% sales drop

In the first nine months of 2012 Slovak Telekom’s EBITDA fell by 12.8% year-on-year to EUR249.4 million (USD318.0 million), on revenues that decreased by 8.1% to EUR613.2 million, despite fixed broadband subscribers growing by 3.5% to 473,000, and pay-TV viewers increasing by 11.8 % to 170,000. The mobile user base was virtually flat y-o-y at 2.31 million at end-September 2012, down from 2.32 million a year earlier, while the number of fixed lines in service dropped by 5.1% to 977,000.
