China Mobile Hong Kong (CMHK) will switch on a commercial Time-Division Long Term Evolution (TD-LTE) network next month, augmenting its FDD-LTE (Frequency Division Duplex LTE) network which it launched in April, Zdnet reports. As previously reported by CommsUpdate, CMHK selected Ericsson and ZTE to build its 2300MHz TD-LTE network in July, and it claims it will launch the first dual-mode TDD/FDD (2300MHz/2600MHz) LTE network in the region.
