PTK expands fixed line services

Telecompaper reports that state-backed telco Post and Telecommunication Kosovo (PTK) is to bring fixed telephony and internet services to 17 additional locations in Kosovo as part of a EUR10 million (USD12.8 million) investment plan. The telco also expects to offer IPTV services ‘soon’. According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, PTK is the second largest ISP in the country, some way behind the cableco IPKO which claimed a subscriber market share of approximately 51.4% at the end of June 2012.
