XO extends fibre network to Canada

The Globe & Mail reports that US-based XO Communications will offer Canadian clients a range of telecoms services including high speed internet, having extended its fibre network to downtown Toronto, with the aim of signing up business customers in industries ranging from financial services to technology. XO, which operates a network across the US, said the cross-border expansion reflects the growing demands of its enterprise and wholesale customers seeking global connectivity.
