Aptilo given nod for TIM Brasil’s Wi-Fi network

Swedish vendor Aptilo Networks has won a contract to supply Brazilian mobile operator TIM Brasil with Wi-Fi equipment in the country. Under the deal Aptilo, which specialises in the supply of integrated service management and access control solutions, will provide the cellco with an end-to-end Wi-Fi network and mobile data offloading solution, allowing it to support the fast rollout of its HSPA and HSPA+ networks in a cost-effective manner, decrease network congestion and improve the end user’s service quality.
