NSN expanding Si.Mobil’s 4G services

28 Sep 2012

Si.Mobil, which launched Slovenia’s first commercial Long Term Evolution (LTE) 4G mobile network in July this year, is using Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) to upgrade and expand its radio access network, which currently offers 4G device users in Ljubljana, Brnik and Bled data speeds typically ranging from 30Mbps to 80Mbps, the operator reports. Daria Horvat, account manager at NSN, said that it took ‘just one month to implement’ its 4G services contract in Slovenia. NSN is providing its Single Radio Access Network, Flexi Multiradio base stations and NetAct network management system alongside support and optimisation services. This week Si.Mobil also took stock of the new iPhone 5 handset.
