GTD expands into Colombia

Chilean telco Grupo GTD has kicked off its international expansion by purchasing Colombia’s Flywan, a corporate internet and data service provider operating in Bogota, Medellin, Cali, Bucaramanga, Barranquilla and Cartagena. GTD’s general manager Alberto Bezanilla commented that the group had chosen to enter the Colombian market as the country shares similar characteristics with Chile such as its economic stability and investment facilities, adding that Colombia was an important business hub for GTD’s existing customers.
