Bell Aliant yesterday announced it will expand its ‘FibreOP’ fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network to five additional Atlantic Canadian towns, Grand Falls-Windsor (Newfoundland), Campbellton and Hampton (New Brunswick), and the Nova Scotia communities of Digby and Antigonish. It is also expanding existing coverage in Greater Moncton. Aliant aims to cover 650,000 homes and businesses with FTTH-based triple-play services by the end of the year, up from 574,000 premises at the end of June.
