IPKO increases access speeds to 80Mbps

IPKO, Kosovo’s largest internet service provider (ISP) by subscribers, has announced plans to introduce an 80Mbps offering to meet growing demands for higher bandwidth. The new package will include a data cap of 200GB, though internet access will still be available afterwards, with the maximum speed reduced to 10Mbps. Robert Erzin, the company’s executive director commented: ‘Having observed that the work, education and business of Kosovo citizens today depends more and more on the internet, we decided to create a bundle with speeds which will accelerate communication.’ As noted by TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, IPKO’s DOCSIS 3.0-enabled HFC network passes 240,000 homes in the fledgling republic.
