TDC has posted revenue of DKK13.2 billion (USD2.2 billion) for the first half of 2012, up 0.5% year-on-year, although earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) slipped 0.7% to DKK5.1 billion. The results were boosted by TDC’s highest intake of broadband subscribers in four years during the second quarter, along with adding 72,000 more TV customers than in the corresponding period of last year. Within the telco’s mobile business, approximately 20,000 subscribers with little or no average revenue per user (ARPU) were deactivated, although TDC was still able to record 23,000 net mobile additions during the three months ending 30 June. Residential ARPU stabilised after falling for several previous quarters. The Denmark-based operator also outlined its guidance for 2012. The company expects revenue of between DKK26 billion and DKK26.5 billion, while EBITDA is forecast to come in between DKK10.3 billion and DKK10.5 billion.
