17 Jul 2012

Orange Poland has launched a Rev B upgrade across its entire CDMA2000 1xEV-DO network, reports rpkom. The upgrade allows the operator to offer download speeds of up to 9.3Mbps. Orange’s CDMA packages are predominantly targeted towards businesses. The operator added that the spectrum resources for the service were made available in 2008, when its previous NMT-450 network was deactivated. According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, Orange’s CDMA network covers 85% of Polish territory.
