Telekom Deutschland (TD), the domestic fixed and mobile division of German telecoms company Deutsche Telekom, has completed the deployment of a fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network in Stade, a city situated in the federal state of Lower Saxony. From August, around 10,000 households in several districts of the city will be able to subscribe to high speed broadband at maximum speeds of 200Mbps download and 100Mbps upload. TD said the network rollout included 71 network switches and around 1,100km of fibre-optic cabling.
