Etihad Etisalat (Mobily), Saudi Arabia’s second largest mobile operator by subscribers, has reported net income of SAR1.42 billion (USD378.4 million) for the three months ended 30 June 2012, up 22% from SAR1.16 billion year-on-year. Meanwhile, operating income for Q2 2012 increased 20% from SAR1.22 billion to SAR1.47 billion on an annualised basis. Finally, gross profit for 2Q12 amounted to SAR2.96 billion, up from SAR2.48million, a y-o-y increase of 19%. All figures were revealed yesterday in an announcement on Tadawul, the Saudi stock exchange.
