Reuters reports that TeliaSonera is looking to sell its Spanish cellco Yoigo. Citing sources close to the matter, the news agency says that TeliaSonera has hired Deutsche Bank to manage the sale of its 76% stake in Yoigo. The move comes as the Swedish telecoms group seeks to exit non-core markets in favour of Nordic countries and central Asia. Vodafone, France Telecom and America Movil have been named as possible candidates to acquire Yoigo. According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, Yoigo finished March 2012 with 3.15 million subscribers, corresponding to a 5.7% share of the Spanish wireless market.
