Teletalk’s commercial 3G launch set for September, following July test launch

Bangladeshi state-run mobile operator Teletalk, which has been given permission to launch the country’s first W-CDMA/HSPA-based 3G service, has announced that it will introduce services on a commercial basis in Dhaka in September, following a test launch set to take place on 29 July. Existing customers will get priority for 3G SIM cards, Teletalk managing director Mujibur Rahman told bdnews24.com.
