3 Sweden expands 4G, UMTS-900 coverage

Sweden’s Hi3G Access (3) has extended its mobile broadband network coverage in three counties, via expansion of its Long Term Evolution (LTE) coverage, augmented by expanded 900MHz 3G infrastructure to give a wider high speed data footprint. The areas covered by 3’s latest 4G and UMTS-900 rollouts are: Nykoping municipality (including 17 main towns) in Sodermanland county, south-west of Stockholm; Eskilstuna municipality (including seven main towns) in northwestern Sodermanland; Karlshamn municipality (including around twelve main towns) in Blekinge county in the south of Sweden; and Halmstads municipality (including nine main towns) in the southwestern county of Halland.
