The Zimbabwe voice-over-internet protocol (VoIP) operator Brodacom has secured USD30 million funding to help finance its network rollout. The funding was secured from a local financial institution with international links, Telecompaper reports. Brodacom is planning to deploy eight new base stations in Bulawayo and twelve in Harare, while it expects to sign an interconnect agreement with fixed line incumbent TelOne shortly, after having already forged similar agreements with mobile operators Econet and Telecel.
