Ipko rolls out fibre backone

Slovenian-backed telco Ipko has deployed a fibre-optic backbone network in Kosovo, reports the Slovenian Press Agency. The network consists of 96 cores and is 400km long, though Ipko plans to extend the network to 600km by the end of the year. Ipko offers wireless and cable-based broadband services to the fledgling republic.
