Mila upgrades mobile backhaul networks in Iceland

Carrier Ethernet provider Overture Networks has announced that it has won a contract to supply equipment to Iceland’s national trunk network operator Mila to meet rapidly rising mobile bandwidth demand. Halldor Gudmundsson, director of network development at Mila, said: ‘… we chose Overture’s 10GigE and 1GigE mobile backhaul solution to help us develop a state-of-the-art layer 2 optical network that will give us a competitive advantage for many years.’
