7 Jun 2012

Cypriot-owned Greek alternative fixed line and broadband operator Cyta Hellas has expanded its network coverage to all areas of the Peloponnese peninsula in southern Greece, including the cities of Patras, Kalamata, Corinth, Tripoli, Argos, Pyrgos, Aigion and Sparta. Cyta Hellas’ infrastructure now reaches 68% of the Greek population with a fibre-optic backbone network stretching over 2,500km in length. It has around 270,000 wireline and broadband internet customers using its services based on local loop unbundling (LLU), and claims that it has a 15% market share in the Greek fixed line telecoms market.
