ZTE passes TD-LTE test

30 May 2012

ZTE has announced that it is the first vendor to pass the second phase of a national multi-mode TD-LTE network validation trial in China. The company says that of the eleven vendors that participated, ZTE was the only company that passed requirements in the test fields of chipset, terminals and systems. The trial took place in Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Xiamen, and was undertaken by the MIIT and China Mobile. ZTE claims it is now placed as the first in-line vendor that would be authorised to deploy commercial TD-LTE networks once these are approved for use by the Chinese government.
