Saudi Telecom Company (STC) has announced the latest expansion of its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) cellular network, with coverage added at 1,500 new sites. The 4G service is now available across 38 cities, Arab News reports, with the telco looking to achieve coverage of 65% of the population by the end of this year. STC is the largest cellular operator in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with more than 25 million subscribers and a 45% market share at the end of 2011 according to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database.
