Afghanistan to receive technical assistance from Iran

In a meeting with his Afghan counterpart, the Iranian telecoms minister Reza Naghipour has expressed Iran’s readiness to provide Afghanistan with technical assistance and increase the level of cooperation between the two nations. According to the Islamic Republic News Agency, Naghipour met with the head of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Communications and IT (MCIT), Amir Sangin to discuss professional cooperation between the two authorities. Amongst the projects proposed, Iran offered to provide its neighbour with equipment and software and aid in the establishment of a training centre.
