Broadband operator Mobius Reunion to enter local mobile market in 2013

18 Apr 2012

Domestic broadband service provider Mobius Reunion says it is looking to enter the country’s mobile market in the second half of 2013. The company, which offers SDSL-based broadband services to business users and triple-play products to the consumer segment through its Izi brand, will target both sectors with the launch. Businesses and public institutions will be offered a converged fixed and mobile offer to augment its existing Mobius Technology brand, while the firm’s Izi triple-play tariffs will be upgraded to quad-play. Mobius Reunion is taking the fight to the island’s incumbent cellcos – Orange Reunion, SRR and Outremer Telecom (Only) – which are also expected to introduce there own quad-play packages in Reunion, as they have in metropolitan France.
