17 Apr 2012

Uzbek national operator Uztelecom has reduced the cost for internet service providers (ISPs) to access its internet gateway to USD475 per Mbps. The cut is the third this year, and follows a slew of reductions: in March 2010 Uztelecom charged USD1,510 per Mbps, dropping to USD529 by the end of 2011. The first two months of 2012 saw the rate slide further, dipping to USD500 then USD495 before its most recent cut.
