German cable operator Unitymedia, which operates in the federal states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse, has announced the launch of video on demand (VoD) services in Hurth, Frankfurt and parts of Bochum, Duisburg und Dortmund. The Liberty Global-owned firm’s ‘Videothek’ service had earlier been introduced in Darmstadt, Giessen, Marburg, Cologne and Kerpen.
