Malaysian fixed line incumbent Telekom Malaysia™ has said that it aims to extend the reach of its in-deployment High Speed Broadband (HSBB) infrastructure so that some 1.3 million premises are within the network footprint by the end of this year. The Sun Daily cited TM CEO Datuk Zamzairani Mohd Isa as noting that the plans were in line with the telco’s plans to focus on customer experience in 2012, with the executive saying: ‘Customers’ experience means the total experience customers have when they deal with TM. It’s not just about the service quality but about the total experience.’
Alongside bringing its ‘UniFi’ products to more households, the telco has a number of other plans it hopes will improve its service offering, including improvements to its customer-facing contact points, such as call centres and its ‘TMpoint’ retail units. Around 40 TMpoints have reportedly been refreshed and improved with a view to being ‘more vibrant’, while a further 60 are currently being worked on. For business users, meanwhile, TM will begin including its IPTV service ‘Hypp.TV’ in the UniFi business package from July 2012 with a view to adding value to its existing product range.
