Cablecom snaps up Telemeyrin

13 Apr 2012

Liberty Global-owned Swiss cableco UPC Cablecom has announced that it has increased its ownership of rival cable operator Telemeyrin from 10% to 100%, purchasing the 90% it did not already own from the municipality of Meyrin (51%) and Geneva Cantonal Bank (39%). The parties involved agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Telemeyrin offered services to around 7,000 subscribers in Meyrin. Cablecom had previously provided a limited selection of its offerings over Telemeyrin’s infrastructure, but following the takeover the company said it will offer its complete product portfolio.
