Telefonica customers flock to Comcel and Tigo

Colombian telecoms watchdog the Communication Regulation Commission (CRC) has published its number portability breakdown for the first three months of 2012. The current wireless market leader, Mexican-backed Comunicacion Celular (Comcel) came out on top with net additions of 67,391 (42,452 outgoing, 109,843 incoming). Colombia Movil, which operates under the Tigo banner of majority owner Millicom, gained 21,245 customers (17,391 outgoing, 38,636 incoming). Spanish-backed Telefonica Moviles Colombia lost out to its two rivals, noting net losses of 90,159 (107,348 outgoing, 17,189 incoming).
