SingTel plumps for NetCracker suite to maximise NGN income

4 Apr 2012

Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) has selected NetCracker Technology, a subsidiary of NEC Corp, to supply it with its Telecoms Operations and Management Solution (TOMS), to help monetise its next generation infrastructure. SingTel is one of Southeast Asia’s largest telecoms groups, providing services to residential and business users including voice and data communications, and IP and pay-TV over fixed and wireless platforms. With a combined customer base of 434 million in over 25 markets, the company has been in operation for nearly 130 years, over which time it has built an extensive national and international network with links to more than 100 countries.

The implementation of the NetCracker platform is designed to help the telco to increase returns from its investments in next generation networks (NGNs) and to improve service delivery; the new solution will replace a number of legacy systems.
