UK-based Vodafone Group and India’s Tata Communications are reportedly looking to extend the 29 March bid deadline for Cable & Wireless Worldwide (CWW), writes the Sunday Telegraph. According to the report, UBS, acting for Vodafone, and Standard Chartered and Morgan Stanley, representing Tata, are seeking an extension to the deadline amid concerns that CWW has not provided enough information to the potential bidders. Vodafone first declared an interest in acquiring CWW in mid-February, prompting India’s Tata Communications to say on 1 March that it too was considering making a bid.
