Azerfon extends Vodafone partnership to Nar Mobile brand

15 Mar 2012

Azeri mobile operator Azerfon is extending its partnership agreement with UK-based telecoms group Vodafone to incorporate its Nar Mobile brand, news agency Trend reports. Under the partnership agreement, Nar Mobile and Vodafone will jointly market products and services combining both brands, and Nar Mobile customers will be able to benefit from voice and data roaming services in more than 120 countries. TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database states that Vodafone originally signed a non-equity partnership deal with Azerfon in mid-2009 to offer co-branded products and services. Under the agreement, Azerfon has exclusive access to a range of products, services and devices from Vodafone in Azerbaijan. Co-branded products were first introduced in December 2009 to coincide with the launch of Azerfon’s 3G services, and are marketed under the ‘Azerfon-Vodafone’ banner.
