Bharti set to launch 4G by end-March?

India’s largest cellco by subscribers, Bharti Airtel, may launch 4G services in Kolkata by 20 March, according to the Economic Times, which cited executives familiar with the development. Airtel has concessions to launch 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) services in four circles, and has signed up different vendors for each area: Chinese suppliers ZTE and Huwaei were chosen for Kolkata and Karntaka respectively, whilst Ericsson of Sweden was selected for Punjab and Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) for Maharashtra.
