National fixed and broadband operator ArmenTel, which offers services under the Beeline banner, has announced a significant reduction in prices for users of its ‘Corporate Web’ internet packages. In a press release ArmenTel said that as a result of the move, the average monthly costs for Corporate Web users have been cut to AMD34,800 (USD89.53) per month for a 1Mbps connection, AMD62,400 (2Mbps) and AMD90,000 for a 3Mbps line. ArmenTel delivers Corporate Web to its clients through its national MPLS network.
The move is the latest initiative taken by ArmenTel as it looks to stimulate demand for its internet data products. In December last year it announced the launch of a new line of tariff plans for its ‘Hi-Line’ high speed internet service, under which monthly subscriber fees for Hi Line ‘Like 1024’, ‘Like 2048’ and ‘Like 3072’ tariff plans cost just AMD4,500, AMD6,000 and AMD8,000 respectively. The new ‘Like’ plans are open to new and existing subscribers, with new users also being offered a ADSL modem and one month’s free broadband access when signing up. ArmenTel notes, however, that customers who connected to DSL during its ‘Mega Summer’, ‘Mega Fall’ and ‘Spend Winter on Internet’ promotions, are not eligible for the new plan offers.
