Qtel inks framework deal with ZTE

Qatar Telecom (Qtel) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with China’s ZTE, covering the provision of new network infrastructure solutions from the Chinese vendor, including 3G and 4G technology, across all Qtel operations in the Middle East/North Africa and Asia. Long-term pricing models will be included in the deal, covering cellcos including Indosat, Asiacell, Wataniya, Nawras, Tunisiana, Nedjma and Qtel’s Qatari operations.
