T-Mobile CR signs up 100,000 DSL subscribers, paper says

24 Jan 2012

Czech operator T-Mobile CR has reportedly signed up more than 100,000 fixed (DSL) broadband internet customers, Telecompaper reports without citing a source. The Czech firm reported strong net additions of 13,000 in 1Q11, it says, with many customers taking advantage of the service provider’s fixed internet packages – ‘2in1’ (which includes voice telephony), or ‘3in1’ (which includes a voice tariff and mobile broadband internet). It is believed that roughly 33,000 xDSL customers are business accounts. Further, the paper writes that whilst the majority of users are connected via ADSL technology, a number have had access to VDSL since September 2011 – offered at the same price, where it is available. T-Mobile CR’s packages cost CZK399 (USD20.4) per month for 2in1 (until 31 March).
