23 Jan 2012

Croatia’s parliament on Friday voted to reinstate a 6% ‘special tax’ on revenues generated by mobile network operators’ services, including voice, SMS and MMS, which will come into effect following publication in the Official Gazette, and will be enforced until 30 June 2013, when Croatia is expected to accede to the European Union. The news was announced in a statement from the country’s former monopoly telco, T-Hrvatski Telekom (T-HT).
